Bio

IN 7 Experimental Video Residency is a 7-day creative experience founded in 2020 by curator Kasia Skorynkiewicz in partnership with Gardenship. The residency brings together artists to create site-responsive experimental video works from concept to completion in only 7 days Born during the pandemic as a way to reconnect artists through collaboration and creative exchange, IN 7 has grown into a community-driven platform that celebrates experimentation and collaboration. Since its founding, IN 7 has produced 85 original experimental videos and supported artists from diverse backgrounds in exploring new approaches to video art. Now based in Jersey City, IN 7 continues to evolve while maintaining its core spirit: providing artists with the time, space, and resources to take creative risks. Each residency invites participants to engage with their surroundings, collaborate with fellow artists, and transform ideas into completed works within a seven-day timeframe. Through screenings, exhibitions, and public programs, IN 7 shares these films with audiences while highlighting the innovative voices shaping contemporary experimental media.
