This series consists of three interconnected acrylic paintings (9.5 x 9.5 inches each): "Suspended Between Bloom and Burst," "Ocean in a Single Drop," and "Grounded by Intention." Together, they explore the fluidity, resilience, and subtle tensions found in nature. Through organic forms and layers of acrylic on canvas, each piece captures a distinct meditative state while functioning as part of a harmonious collective narrative.

On a background of orange printing ink, a found photograph of a bare tree has been cut multiple times vertically and horizontally. It has been reassembled with parts removed, so that in a subtle way, the limbs of the tree no longer align.

Each painting submitted reflects my exploration of organic abstraction and atmospheric environments. I use a highly saturated palette consisting of mixed media- paint, fabric, color pencil, on canvas.
Nothing Wasted is a three-piece wall installation handbuilt from slab-formed stoneware clay and composed of several hundred individually hand-rolled clay spheres. The organic forms evoke cells, seeds, spores, and the intricate networks found throughout nature. Finished with lead-free satin glazes, each sculpture contains a single matte black sphere symbolizing mortality, through both natural predation and humanity's disruption of fragile ecosystems.

Carromancy Tides, 2026, Beeswax, electronics, 10x10x8"
Carromancy: Tides is a beeswax wall sculpture whose internal LED system is driven by real-time tide data drawn from public NOAA servers monitoring Sandy Hook Bay. As water levels rise and fall along the New Jersey coastline, the light within the sculpture shifts in response — sustaining a live, continuous relationship between the object and the tidal body it is tuned to.
The work began with a question about translation: what would it mean to make a natural system legible as felt experience rather than numerical information? Tide data is ordinarily encountered as a table to be consulted. Here, the same data stream becomes the animating principle of a physical object, arriving not as schedule or measurement but as atmosphere, pulse, and light.
Beeswax — formed by living systems through accumulated biological labor — carries within its material logic the same principle of natural time the data encodes. The pairing of organic material with live environmental feed is a continuity rather than a contrast: both are records of a world that keeps moving whether or not anyone is watching.

Surge, 2025, Oil on Canvas, 36” x 24”
My works are connected through my interest in what the self carries across time, place, and experience. Across watercolor, oil painting, and installation, I use layered surfaces, shadows, draped forms, and white lines to explore memory, migration, pressure, and inner awareness.
Lost Histories Upheld in Spirit references protective spirits as quiet guardians who carry histories across generations, preserving stories that have been forgotten, erased, or left untold. Rather than depicting these figures directly, the painting invites viewers to sense their presence. Knowing that Jersey City was one of the stops on the Underground Railroad adds an additional significance in this exploration of past, present and future.

This artwork depicts an atmospheric landscape, suggesting the changing weather, shifting light, and open space. A sense of depth is created through overlapping translucent and opaque layers. A balance between abstraction and representation invites viewers to interpret the landscape through their own experience.

Cross-Pollination Series :
Inspired by the hidden patterns found on flower petals that guide bees toward nectar and pollination, this work explores the shared visual languages that connect cultures. Just as nectar guides create pathways for exchange between flowers and pollinators, recurring forms, colors, and motifs within the sculpture suggest the invisible patterns that carry stories, memories, and traditions across communities. Through these acts of exchange, distinct identities remain rooted in their origins while becoming part of a larger interconnected body.
Unity in diversity :
This sculpture represents the emigrant’s Tree of Life. Inspired by the Persian cypress tree, Sarv, it is formed from interconnected vessels, each carrying a human life, story, and memory. The empty spaces hold the soul and presence of the homeland, while the unified body reflects shared roots, resilience, and humanity.

This body of work is inspired by Tunantada, a traditional music and dance festival from Jauja, Junín, Peru. Through portraits, landscapes, and studies of festival masks, the series reflects on identity, memory, and the relationship between people and place.
The contrast between Andean faces and the masks worn during the celebration became the starting point for exploring how tradition, performance, and history shape cultural identity.

Hospice Chicken, Bob the Turtle and Corn Critters
A magical yet slightly foreboding forest at dusk. Will you go deeper into these woods or turn back? The twilight approaches!
My work is inspired by collecting objects and fragments from places I have visited, then piecing them together. Usually gravitating toward fabric, yarn, and flowers, I place the items I find and make connections between them. In nature, I observe how plants grow freely and without boundaries; I echo this by allowing my pieces to settle organically. Even when elements collide, a sense of harmony and balance persists. I believe everything is interconnected, forming a vital network that supports its surroundings and creates a unified environment.
Pink Pipe Dreams, 2025, Acrylic on canvas, 24" x 20"
This work belong to my series “Everything is Cool”, all created over the last year. The language in my paintings and prints began back in 2016, after a very influential roadtrip across the Southwest two years prior. Inspired by the greats like Hockney and Ruscha, my work often depicts bright, Pop-like mountain landscapes which have been burned into my brain for so long now. With thousands of miles of open land traveled, there are always new forms left to translate into painting. The silkscreen print “New View” is an ode to the original painting that started it all, created exactly 10 years later.
I discovered my love for creative expression through painting as a child and have nurtured it into a lifelong passion. Today, I create mixed media analog collages on canvas, wood, and paper, layering my own photographs with art papers, cut-outs, and painted elements. Each piece is one of a kind, sometimes reusing elements to reflect an interconnected artistic universe.
Inspired by nature, travel, urban decay, and a fascination with the old and mystical, I occasionally incorporate vintage postcards, family photographs, and documents. Recently, I have expanded my practice by experimenting with mixed media sculpture and returning to photography as an artistic medium.
My work reveals surreal, dreamlike worlds with a nostalgic tone, shaped by a desire for stillness and an attraction to the eerie and unknown—places where mystery lingers, stories are retold, and the forgotten is remembered.
“Unity Veil”, is a design I used on my wedding veil for the Filipino Ceremony portion of my wedding. As a Filipino daughter marrying the son of Koreans, I wanted to embroider designs from both our families’ cultures. The design depicts various animal and nature motifs from both families’ sides for good fortune.
New Growth, Old Tree. 2024, acrylic charcoal, conte crayon, and graphite on wood, 36×16"
This work consists of layer of large acrylic fields of color, or scapes, and defining lines drawn with conte crayon, graphite, and charcoal. It consists of layers of time, of movement, of uncertainty, and of confidence to move forward. The work is figurative, but implicit, harnessing my dedication to understanding shadow work, rooted in understanding the parts of the self and subconscious we push down or disregard, even unknowingly. Even unaware, we feel the presence.

Saving the Bayan, 2025, Mixed Media, (paper and acrylics on canvas), 36" X 63"
Created from fragments of fallen trees and mounted on hand-painted pedestals, these three sculptures preserve the ghost of the trees from which they came. Their varied textures reveal traces of lives once lived—grain shaped by years of growth, knots marking vanished branches, surfaces weathered by time and the elements. Rather than erasing these histories, the works honor them, allowing the wood to carry its memories forward. Together, the sculptures suggest that nature is never bounded by life or death; it endures through transformation, with the spirit of the tree still present in every curve, scar, and fiber. 2024, Wood
