About This Work

1. The Ghost of the Tree Collection
Created from fragments of fallen trees and mounted on hand-painted pedestals, these three sculptures preserve the ghost of the trees from which they came. Their varied textures reveal traces of lives once lived—grain shaped by years of growth, knots marking vanished branches, surfaces weathered by time and the elements. Rather than erasing these histories, the works honor them, allowing the wood to carry its memories forward. Together, the sculptures suggest that nature is never bounded by life or death; it endures through transformation, with the spirit of the tree still present in every curve, scar, and fiber.

2. Red Dragon Sculpture
Crafted from a fallen tree root and mounted on a hand-painted red and gold pedestal, Red Dragon reveals the enduring life held within wood. The sculpture retains the memory of the tree's growth in its natural twists and curves, which evoke the form of a mythical dragon. Rather than reshaping the material, the work allows nature's own design to emerge, transforming a remnant of the forest into a symbol of strength, imagination, and renewal. Created for Unbounded Nature, the sculpture explores how nature transcends physical boundaries, continuing to evolve through memory, transformation, and artistic vision.
